Dr. Samuel Essoun
Medical doctor (Consultant General Surgeon) ; Master of Public Health, the University of Essex, UK. He has experience in the surgical management of tumours of gastrointestinal tract, breast, pancreas and thyroid. He has numerous research to his credit with current interest in understanding the clinical and molecular epidemiology of gastrointestinal cancers among an indigenous African population.

Assistant Lecturer, University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) , Ho, Ghana; PhD(Molecular Medicine) Candidate , Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana and MPhil Medical Biochemistry, University of Ghana, Accra, Ghana. A Research Scientist, interested in Human Papillomavirus (HPV) infections & associated diseases including cancers and diversity of microbiome / other genomes among cancer cases. Currently worked on the diversity of Cervicovaginal HPV Genotypes and Naturally Occurring E6/E7 DNA Sequence Polymorphism among Cervical Cancer/Precancer Cases.
